Lush Bath Bomb | So White

So white is one of Lush's Christmas limited edition I think returns every year but this is the first year I've tried it. Wow was I impressed. I've only just used it and I think I'm going to have to go out and repurchase this a few more times before it disappears until next year.

At first glance the bath bomb looks incredibly boring but as it begins to fiz in the bath it releases a lovely pink colour. Perfect for the girly girl in me. It left a lovely creamy bubble on the top of the bath which makes it feel lovely and luxurious. Just want you want for a Christmas Pamper. Oh and the smell.. I have no idea how Lush have managed it. It smells exactly like fresh apples. None of this artificial apple smelling things, just pure apple. Personally, I prefer spicier apple scents at this time of year but this does still smell incredible.

Skin benefits? Indeed! This bath bomb leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft and as you climb into the bath you can feel how moisturizing it is already. Exactly what I want from a bath.

Verdict? A beautifully scented, luxurious bath bomb. Perfect for chill out time.

But it here -So White (£3.50)

Holy Grail Foundation Brush | Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This brush, oh the brush. The Real Techniques Expert Face Brush (8.99). I have been using this brush for over a year now for my foundation and I am deeply in love with this brush. I like to use it by dotting foundation across my face then blending it in as I feel these brushes are prone to soaking up the product so that way works best for me. It buffs in the foundation seamlessly and quickly. Perfect! The way this brush is shaped is so that it is more flat than the buffing brush but still dense enough to leave a air brushed finish. This then gives you the option to either quickly buff it in or to paint it on then blend it in for a higher coverage. Love!

As is I said, I have been using this brush for over a year now so it is beginning to become slightly worn but it is still effective as ever and a hair is yet to fall out and at such a reasonable price you can't ask for much more. All the real technique brushes are exceptional but this one I could not live without.

What do you use to apply your foundation?

Love,

Rachel xxx

The Weekend #2 FOTD

First, let me start off by saying that selfies are definitely not my forte, This weekend me and Zach felt like having a calm one again. What kind of 18 year old's are we? So, we just went to town to pick up a few things and have something to eat and ended up bumping into some friends of ours and went for a coffee. Nothing too exciting but at least I can show you my make up.

I just wanted to wear something pretty natural with a little bit of something special!

Primer -Bourjois Happy Light Matte Serum Primer (£10.99) An absolutely gorgeous light matte primer, lives up to the name. Definitely a  holy grail of mine.

Base - L'Oréal True Match ( £9.99) Wowee, I love this foundation so much. So light but with a decent coverage. The finish, somewhere between matte and natural. Oily skin girls? You may need a primer and a powder if you're oily like me but it is beautiful.

Concealer - The one and only, Collection Lasting Perfection (£4.19). If you haven't heard of this I dont know where you've been. High coverage, blends well, cheap. Job done.

Cheeks- Sleek Blush in Flushed (£4.49) Perfect Autumn blusher, a dark pink berry shade. extremely terrifying in the pan but just a little swipe on your cheeks leaves you looking like you've just stepped in from a cold Autumn walk. Love.

Bronzer - L'Oréal Glam Bronze (£7.99) Okay pale girls listen up. I think this is the only bronzer I will ever buy (wow big statement). It's just so lovely, not too orange or red toned and just warms up the skin nicely and naturally.

Highlight- Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight & Sculpting Creamy Glow Duo (£19) I used only the highlight from this duo due to it being daytime and not wanting to do the whole contouring shabang. A really lovely subtle highlight.

Eyes- Okay so this is the exciting bit. A new purchase of mine, Naked Basics 2 (£22) (squeals). I love this so much, the texture of the matte eye shadows are nothing short of outstanding. Wow. I used Stark all over the lid, skimp in the inner corners and cover in the crease. Then to add a bit of shimmer I used Mac Woodwinked (£13). For eyeliner I used Soap and Glory Super Cat (£6), as I'm sure you can tell from the pictures my eye liner skills are definitely below average but unfortunately, I just feel naked without it and this eye liner is pure black and reasonably easy to use. Mascara? Max Factor False Lash Effect (£10.99).

Eye brows - Please excuse my eyebrows, they are not at their best currently. I currently use the Rimmel Eye Pencil in Hazel (£2.99). A bargain buy that does the job.

And on my Lips- Mac Twig (£15), Previously Spoken about in My Autumn Lip Picks. A perfect Autumn Nude.

And to finish it all off I powdered with Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder (£8.99). The finish of this powder is beautiful but it just feels so greasy on my oily skin! Think I'll keep to my Rimmel Stay Matte from now on.

Lush Review- Sparkly Pumpkin

Spot the foot (oops)
Nothing like a lush bath as the cold weather approaches. My latest purchase from Lush has been the Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble bar. This bath treat is extremely aesthetically pleasing with it's beautiful coppery orange glitter and the fact that it's a pumpkin, well, that's just really cute. How could I resist from picking one up?

The scent? I was expecting it to be a more spicy autumnal scent but it's actually a fruity scent as it contains, juniper berry oil, lime oil and grapefruit oil. Yet somehow, it still manages to be a lovely warming smell that fills your bathroom.

When crumbled under the tap it first appears bright orange but as it mixes with the water it becomes more of a yellow colour which if I'm honest, I'm not a big fan of because I think we all know what yellow water looks like. It bubbled up really well and you don't need a lot for one bath so it will last quite a will if you're careful with your crumbling!  It's not as moisturizing as some of the other lush bubble bars so it definitely more about the bubbles and smell than the skin care benefits but overall I'd give it a 7/10 and a A* for presentation.

The weekend #1

Can't believe it's Sunday already. Feels as though I left work on Friday about an hour ago.

Saturday OOTD-

Me and Zach just wanted to have a nice relaxed wander round a little village near where we live that has a few cute little shops and we dropped in for a nice cosy Costa (though I'm more of a Starbucks
girl myself) and this is what I chose to wear.

Top - Topshop (sale £5) Wow, I love this top, so flattering and I just have a love for cropped tops with high-waisted things! Feel as though it makes me look a incy wincy bit taller ( me being 5ft on the dot). I'm sure you'll be able to find a similar top somewhere seeing as these are quite common.

Jeans - Topshop Joni Jeans (£36)Not the cheapest of jeans but seriously gorgeous. Extremely stretchy but still manage to suck you in! Verrrrrry high-waisted which I love so I don't have to show any of my tummy if I want to wear something cropped. My ultimate favourite jeans. They don't have these exact ones anymore but topshop have plenty of different colour joni jeans so I'm sure you can find your dream pair.

Cardigan - Topshop ( sale £20) Sorry sale again, but on an apprenticeship wage it just has to be done. Absolutely love this, soft pinky peach colour and super cosy.

Coat- Topshop (£59) Ahhh this coat. I just love it so much. Always look so classy and simple and is reasonably warm but not too warm for Autumn so I don't experience heatstroke when the sun comes out. Nothing like a good black boyfriend coat.

Scarf-Topshop (£16) Every year I have the same battle, finding the perfect scarf and I had never yet been successful, until now. I absolutely love this scarf, the colour, the cosyness, the touch of fur. It's just perfect!

Boots- New look last year. I love some simple black boots for AW, just smartens up any outfit and their super comfortable and sturdy. I bought these last year and though they're abit roughed up ( well a lot). They're still going strong. New look do some really well priced foot wear so if you're looking for some winter boots, check them out.

The jewelry-

Necklace- Topshop ( sale £2.50) sorry i know, sale again! But topshop usually have some really lovely pieces in their sales for jewelry so i never see the point in buying any full price. Sorry! Love this though, nice simple gold necklace with an apparently semi precious stone. Simple but really finishes off an outfit.

Watch -Marc Jacobs (£209) I wear this watch every single day. I got it for my 18th birthday and it is just beautiful! love how it makes every outfit i wear just that much more special. A strong believer that the perfect watch is a fashion essential.

Nails- Avon Nail Wear Pro+ in Powerful Copper. I have done it. I have found my perfect autumn shade! It's a lovely sparkly copper and when I first saw it I thought it looked horrible! But on the nails its just a lovely warm shade.

So what did I have to drink in costa? A hot spiced apple. Mm mm, definitely a cliche autumnal drink but it is so yummy and really warms your cockles! Next time your in Costa, I suggest you check it out.

So that's my Saturday, and after going out on the Saturday night I'm feeling a little worse for wear today so I think a cosy day watching Netflix is on the agenda.
